Hotel Commonwealth, BOSTON, MA

Design Consultants, Inc. (DCI) is part of the design team to bring a new hotel to the Kenmore Square area in Boston.

DCI is responsible for all survey aspects of the project in addition to civil engineering support. The design must overcome several interesting aspects, including existing MBTA tunnel and station entrances and an extensive amount of utilities in the street. Perhaps the most interesting aspect is that through the Landmark Commission and Preliminary City Environmental Impact Report, the facade of the building must remain as it is considered an architecturally significant feature.

DCI has been retained to locate control points along the bays at each floor to locate the facade before, during and after construction.
